Searching tutorial to GitHub or how to save a coding tutorial usually means: you watched something useful and you do not want to hunt the files in a week.
Here is the honest version.
Why “I’ll remember it” fails
Video players are a terrible archive. You cannot grep a timeline. You cannot jump to definition on a talking head. If the lesson mattered, it needs to live in git.
Manual method (always valid)
- Create a new private GitHub repo.
- Recreate the folder structure from the video.
- Write a README with the original URL, the instructor’s name, and how to run it.
- Credit the creator. Do not republish their course as your product.
This is slow. It is also how you actually learn the tree.
Faster method
