# How to Learn Programming Faster (Without Tutorial Hell)

> Tutorial hell is a workflow problem. Leave every coding video with a runnable project — then change one thing. YouExtractor is one way to skip the copy-paste tax.

If you searched **how to learn programming faster**, you probably do not need another 40-hour playlist. You need a loop that produces repos, not notes.

This is not a YouTube tags guide. It is a study system for developers.

## The actual bottleneck

Most people who feel “slow” are not slow at syntax. They are slow at **transfer**:

- They watch a React video
- They pause and retype
- They never run the app
- They start a different video tomorrow

Nothing compounds. That is tutorial hell.

## A faster loop

1. Pick **one** tutorial (YouTube, a course, a conference talk).
2. Get the project onto disk — type it, clone a starter, or [extract it with YouExtractor](https://youextractor.me/tools/learn-programming-faster).
3. Run it.
4. Change one thing (rename a route, add a test, break a color).
5. Commit to GitHub.
6. Stop for the day.

That is slower in the first hour and much faster across a month.

## What to practice vs what to skip

Skip retyping `npx create-next-app` and boilerplate folders. That is not learning.

Practice the idea the instructor was actually teaching: a hook, a join, a Docker volume, a policy class. If a tool can rebuild the boring tree, use it. If the interesting part is the algorithm, type that part yourself.

## Stack does not matter as much as the loop

The same system works for:

- [React](https://youextractor.me/for/react) and [Next.js](https://youextractor.me/for/nextjs)
- [Python](https://youextractor.me/for/python)
- [Node](https://youextractor.me/for/nodejs) and [TypeScript](https://youextractor.me/for/typescript)
- [Docker](https://youextractor.me/for/docker) and [Laravel](https://youextractor.me/for/laravel)

YouExtractor happens to take public YouTube coding URLs. The learning rule is older than YouTube: **build something you can run.**
